Laser cut Leather Patchwork Art

Sue Turton is a Senior Technician at Nottingham Trent University managing the Laser Resource Studio, supporting on-going projects with students, artists and designers. Her work was recently featured in the Wanderlust exhibition at Nottingham Trent University and also sells in outlets around the UK including the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Mosaic Fusion

I was recently asked to design and produce a collection of furnishing fabrics as part of a freelance project. I looked at trends for A/W12 and through inspiration and design-research decided upon the theme 'Mosaic Fusion', fusing together elements of florals and mosaics. Cultural elements within this project were taken from inspirational photographs from Deli and Marrakesh.
