MEG MATHEWS WALLPAPER COLLECTION
SNAKESKIN, SKULLS AND MICRO FLORALS
LIBERTY EXCLUSIVELY LAUNCHES MEG MATHEWS WALLPAPER COLLECTION
I was sat in my bedroom about a year and a half ago. It was all pink and white and I thought, “yuck”. I looked down at the scarf I was wearing; an Alexander McQueen number encrusted in skulls. And I got this feeling that said “yes, that’s what I want”. So I set about designing my wallpaper range.
Delving into Liberty’s rich fabric archives and selecting cutesy micro-florals and poppy prints, I reworked them giving them my own rock ‘n’ roll stamp juxtaposing florals with my signature snake skin and skulls. It has been so exciting for me working with Libertys on this exclusive range of wallpapers, I have been able to revisit my interior design past and get my teeth into such a great project, combining great colours, textures and prints to create some truly unique and bespoke styles.
Meg Mathews wallpaper range is sold exclusively at Libertys and retails at £89 per meter.
